BRPTO approves Privacy Governance Program
This Tuesday, September 9, Ordinance #32, of August 28, 2025, which approves the BRPTO’s Privacy Governance Program, was published in the Office’s Official Gazette.
The Program formalizes the BRPTO’s commitment to implementing internal processes and policies that comply with standards and best practices regarding private data protection. These measures apply to all private data under the Office's control. The Program's principles and objectives are aligned with Brazil’s General Data Protection Act (LGPD – Law #13,709, of August 14, 2018, as amended by Law #13,853, of July 8, 2019).
The Official Gazette also published the Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), pursuant to Ordinance #31/2025. The full text of Ordinances #31 and #32/2025 can be accessed in Portuguese here.
