BRPTO authorized to hire 120 additional staff, including 40 patent examiners

This Thursday, October 2, Decree #12,647, of October 1, 2025, was published in the Federal Register, authorizing the BRPTO to hire up to 120 candidates approved in a public recruitment. Of this total, 40 positions are designated for patent examiners. The Decree aims to fill the remaining vacancies in the BRPTO’s workforce.
