This Tuesday, September 23, the BRPTO published in its Official Gazzette an extension of the deadline for Call for Contributions #2/2025 to October 27, 2025.

The Call for Contributions proposes a new wording for Chapter 9 of the Examination Guidelines for Patent Applications in the Field of Chemistry (BRPTO’s Rule #208/2017), as previously reported in a Client Alert. The Office has confirmed that all other provisions set forth in the original Call, published on July 29, 2025, remain in effect.
