Erica Mano has been a Patent Specialist at Licks Attorneys’ São Paulo office since August 2025. Ms. Mano has worked in the field of Intellectual Property since 2010, starting her career at a national research center. She has played a key role in structuring Intellectual Property strategies both in the national research center and in the industrial sector, bringing a strong technical foundation and strategic insight to her work. Ms. Mano has extensive experience in patent drafting, prior art searches, patentability analyses, freedom-to-operate (FTO) reports, technology mapping, and drafting and filling replies to the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BRPTO). She has also developed expertise in various other Intellectual Propertyrelated activities, having worked in both a law firm and a global company specialized in intellectual property.

Her practice particularly focuses on the agribusiness sector, where she has gained experience in technologies related to bioethanol production, agricultural machinery, agrochemical formulations, adjuvants, and providing support for field testing aimed at patent protection. Ms. Mano combines her scientific expertise with practical innovation management skills to support clients in securing and leveraging their intellectual assets.
