Ericsson and Lenovo settle global SEP dispute days after Supreme Court application
The global dispute cellular SEP dispute between Ericsson and Lenovo has come to an end – well, almost.
Following a dramatic month, the parties have announced that have agreed to end all ongoing patent-related litigation and have entered into a binding cross-licence agreement. But the final terms of the SEP cross-licence will be determined by a binding arbitration, the parties have revealed.
“Lenovo is pleased to announce that it has agreed to enter into a global patent cross license agreement with Ericsson,” a representative of the company told IAM. “The parties will enter into binding arbitration to determine the final terms of the new agreement. As part of the agreement, both parties have agreed to settle all pending litigations between them worldwide.”
