Rob Rodrigues, partner at Licks Attorneys, assisted the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) with the draft of comments submitted in response to the “Joint USPTO–FDA Collaboration Initiatives”, sent by the to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The text brings together comments on the collaboration initiatives between the two North American agencies (USPTO and FDA). Rob, Vice-Chair of the IPO Latin American Committee helped the draft to be able to include the international experience in Brazil when the local Drug Regulatory Agency (called Anvisa) participated in the patent examination process, as per revoked article 229-C.
