BRPTO Updates Rules for Requesting Ownership Transfer or Change of Name or Registered Office
In its Official Gazette #2802, of September 17, 2024, the BRPTO published Ordinance #20 of September 13, 2024, outlining the procedures for requesting transfer of ownership or change of name or registered office, such as necessary documentation, notarization, translation of documents, among other provisions.
The new rule clarifies which documents or declarations must be submitted in the various cases, such as for annotations of ownership transfers, changes of name and corporate name, address, or registered office, or in cases of annotations related to limitations, liability, or encumbrances.
