The BRPTO Will Integrate its Systems with the Federal Revenue Service Database for Technology Contracts
The BRPTO announced in its Official Gazzete #2795, of July 30, 2024, that it will deactivate the Technology Contract Registration Form procedure as of August 2, 2024. This change comes as part of an integration with the Special Secretariat of the Federal Revenue Service database.
As a result, the process for completing the forms for the registration of contracts and their petitions will change for Brazilian contracting parties. Data from the Special Secretariat of the Federal Revenue Service database will be imported when entering the CNPJ and/or CPF. For foreign contracting parties, the process for completing the forms will remain unchanged.
The BRPTO also stated that any discrepancies in the imported data must be resolved directly with the Special Secretariat of the Federal Revenue Service for the necessary adjustments.
