Estela Alves has been an attorney at law at Licks Attorneys’ Rio de Janeiro office since 2025, focusing her practice on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Prior to that, Mrs. Alves gained experience as an attorney at a well-known Brazilian law firm specialized in intellectual property, in which she handled highly complex disputes involving patents, plant variety, and regulatory law. She also has extensive background in both patent infringement and nullity lawsuits, as well as in providing legal advice for clients in administrative proceedings before Anvisa (Brazil’s FDA) and MAPA (Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture) concerning drug law and agribusiness matters.
