BRPTO will not accept PPH requests for H04 applications in Q3 2025
This Tuesday, July 1, the BRPTO announced that, for Q3 2025, PPH requests for patent applications classified under IPC code H04 will not be accepted.
According to BRPTO/DIRPA’s Ordinance #03/2025, effective April 1, 2025, the BRPTO will reassess the possibility of accepting new requests for H04 applications in the last quarter of this year.
Note that the quarterly limit for other IPC classifications has not yet been reached.
BRPTO/DIRPA's Ordinance #26/2024 provides that requests exceeding the quarterly limit will be rejected – including amendments filed jointly. If rejected due to excess, they may be resubmitted in the following quarter with supporting documentation.
The official BRPTO notice is available in Portuguese here.
