Melissa Cambuhy is a partner and Chief of Licks Attorneys’ Representative Office in Shenzhen, China, and has been with the office since 2026. Her practice focuses on international business development, China-Brazil relations, international cooperation, and strategic advisory matters involving Chinese and Latin American stakeholders. Ms. Cambuhy advises clients on cross-border business opportunities, institutional engagement, and the legal, regulatory, and commercial frameworks governing operations in China and other emerging markets.

Ms. Cambuhy has extensive experience in chinese political economy, international political economy, and international cooperation initiatives. Prior to joining Licks Attorneys, Ms. Cambuhy coordinated institutional relations for the Latin American regional office of one of China’s largest state-owned media groups, leading negotiations and overseeing the implementation of cooperation agreements involving Brazilian and Chinese public and private sector entities.

Throughout her career, Ms. Cambuhy has worked closely with government agencies, corporations, industry associations, academic institutions, and innovation ecosystems in Brazil and China. Ms. Cambuhy’s experience includes developing strategic partnerships, market-entry initiatives, providing institutional representation, and structuring international cooperation projects across sectors such as technology, media, trade, culture, and sustainable development.

Drawing on her extensive experience in both Brazil and China, Ms. Cambuhy assists clients in navigating complex cross-border environments, fostering long-term strategic relationships, and engaging effectively with key public and private sectors stakeholders.
