Eduardo Hallak is a founding partner at Licks Attorneys and heads the firm’s São Paulo office. With over 20 years of experience, he is a leading litigator in high-stakes disputes, regulatory matters, and intellectual property litigation across Brazil. His practice includes complex litigation in patent, regulatory, and competition law, with a strong emphasis on life sciences and agribusiness sectors. He has advised multinational companies on navigating Brazil’s regulatory landscape, with particular focus on data exclusivity, regulatory compliance, technology transfer, and IP enforcement.
Hallak also has extensive experience in trademark litigation, licensing, and portfolio strategy, helping clients in the agro-industrial space develop strong brand protection and contract structures suited to the Brazilian market.
As an educator, Mr. Hallak serves as a professor of IP litigation in the postgraduate program at the prestigious Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) and has taught Civil Procedure at the Brazilian Association of IP Agents (ABAPI).
