Abel Gomes and Matheus Ramalho, partners, will feature in the event “Variations in Law and the Market: Arbitration, Corporate Law, and the New Frontiers of Collective Redress.” The meeting will be held on September 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (BRT), and will be streamed live on the OAB-RJ YouTube channel.

The initiative is supported by Rio de Janeiro’s Bar Association, the IAB Nacional, the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Center for Mediation and Arbitration. Mr. Gomes will join the panel dedicated to the challenges of coordinating proceedings in corporate disputes, focusing on the interplay between arbitrations, court proceedings, and administrative sanctioning and criminal procedures. Mr. Ramalho, in turn, will serve as the Academic Coordinator of the event, participating in the ceremony as Chairman of the Committee for Studies and Monitoring of Bills at the OAB-RJ National Congress.

A iniciativa tem apoio da OAB-RJ, do IAB Nacional, da CVM e do Centro de Mediação e Arbitragem. Abel integrará o painel dedicado aos desafios de coordenação de processos em disputas societárias, com ênfase na interação entre arbitragens, processos judiciais e procedimentos administrativos sancionadores e criminais. Matheus, por sua vez, atuará como Coordenador Acadêmico do evento, participando da cerimônia na qualidade de Presidente da Comissão de Estudos e Acompanhamento de Projetos de Lei no Congresso Nacional da OAB-RJ
